Born and raised in a remote part of Scotland, but now based in East London, Ian McNulty offers us unique perception of nature and our place within it.

After studying at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, McNulty has called upon his experience to articulate his idiosyncratic view of East London’s green belt, producing images of stunning beauty that, although abstract in form, succeed in challenging our pre-conceptions of this part of the capital.

Light and colour are the mediums through which this artist expresses his affection not just for nature, but for nature that has articulated its own individual response to the urban landscape.
